    Lesson

This lesson introduces students to paper craft and making paper three-dimensional.

For a warm up activity, have students draw a favorite animal, either real or imaginary, and think of what environment it might live in. Is it warm, is it cold, dry, wet, are there trees, homes, etc.

Using construction paper and bone folders, studens are shown how to accordian folds. Using two sheets of half-folded accordians, the students create a foreground and a background with pop-up elements that create an environment for characters that they have created on tag board.
